Welcome to mTalim! By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using mTalim.

1. General Terms

  • mTalim is an online Learning Management System (LMS) designed to help schools, teachers, students, and guardians manage and enhance the educational process.

  • By using mTalim, you agree to abide by these terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are made implies acceptance of the new terms.

2. User Registration & Accounts

  • Users must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

  • Each user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities that occur under their account.

  • If unauthorized access to your account is suspected, you must notify mTalim support immediately.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms or is found to be involved in fraudulent or abusive activities.

3. User Roles & Responsibilities

mTalim offers different user roles, each with specific rights and responsibilities:

  • School Administrators

    • Can create and manage a school profile, add or remove teachers and students, assign subjects, create timetables, and manage academic activities.

    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with educational policies and ethical guidelines within their institution.

  • Teachers

    • Can create and conduct lessons, assignments, quizzes, and exams.

    • Can track student performance, communicate with students, and manage classroom activities.

    • Must ensure that all uploaded content is educationally appropriate and legally permissible.

  • Students

    • Can join schools, access study materials, complete assignments and exams, and communicate with teachers.

    • Must engage respectfully with the platform and other users.

  • Guardians (Parents)

    • Can connect to their child's account (with the student’s approval) to monitor academic progress.

    • May receive updates on attendance, assignments, and performance.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

To maintain a safe and productive learning environment, users must not:

  • Upload, share, or distribute any content that is illegal, harmful, offensive, or inappropriate.

  • Use the platform for spamming, hacking, or unauthorized activities.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, data, or systems.

  • Misuse the platform in any way that disrupts or harms other users.

  • Share misleading, false, or unverified information.

Violation of this policy may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

5. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We are committed to protecting user privacy and handling personal data securely.

  • User data will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties without consent, except as required by law.

  • Schools, teachers, and students must ensure that any data they upload complies with privacy laws and ethical standards.

  • Users should not share personal or sensitive information publicly within the platform.

6. Content Ownership, Intellectual Property & Test Publishing

  • Any educational content created and uploaded by teachers remains their intellectual property, but mTalim retains the right to store and display it within the platform for educational purposes.

  • School Test Publishing & Copyright Claims: Each school has the right to publish its own preparatory tests and evaluation materials on the platform. mTalim does not create, curate, or monitor these tests; the platform solely provides a convenient digital environment for their utilization. Therefore, full legal responsibility and ownership of the published tests remain entirely with the respective test creators and school owners.

  • Intellectual Property Dispute Resolution: If you believe that any published test infringes upon your copyright or intellectual property rights, it is strongly recommended that you first contact the respective school administration directly to resolve the issue. If the school administration fails to respond, or rejects your justified claim without legal grounds, you may contact the mTalim Platform Administration. Upon receiving adequate supporting documentation proving your ownership rights, we will review the case and take immediate action to remove the infringing materials from the platform.

  • Users must ensure they have the rights and permissions to upload any third-party content (e.g., books, videos, images).

  • Unauthorized copying, distribution, or use of content from mTalim without permission is strictly prohibited.

7. Platform Availability & Updates

  • mTalim aims to provide uninterrupted access to all users, but we do not guarantee that the platform will always be available without interruptions or errors.

  • We may perform system updates, maintenance, or improvements, which could temporarily limit access.

  • Users will be notified in advance whenever possible about major updates or maintenance activities.

8. Limitations of Liability

  • mTalim is not responsible for user-generated content, including school-published preparatory tests, or any harm caused by incorrect, misleading, or unauthorized information uploaded by users.

  • As a digital infrastructure provider, mTalim does not bear liability for copyright infringements committed by schools or content creators on the platform.

  • We are not liable for technical issues, data loss, or disruptions beyond our control.

  • Users are responsible for their own actions on the platform and must ensure compliance with educational policies and laws.

9. Violation of Terms & Account Termination

If a user violates these terms, mTalim reserves the right to take appropriate actions, including:

  • Warnings or temporary suspensions

  • Removal of inappropriate or infringing content

  • Permanent account termination in severe cases

If an account is terminated due to a violation, the user may lose access to their data and services without refund (if applicable).
